Ouch
last night at class Trixie was clearly not feeling well at all - strange considering she was absolutely fine in the morning. We took her to the vet who checked her over and apparently she's Lyme positive - fantastic... well at least we know what it is as opposed to when she was lame at 6 months old and no one had any idea what was going on. I did more stretches with her this morning and she's definitely better than last night but she definitely has a bruise/muscle tightness on the left side of her back, hopefully this is nothing that some doxycycline can't fix. I'm almost certainly not running her at all at class tomorrow night, maybe just a small lap in the grass at 8" to see how she is for the trial this weekend - I'm really hoping she'll be able to run but if she can't that's fine too - I'd rather her be healthy than push her too hard even if i really want to get out of novice. I'm definitely going on Sunday to run Scooter and I'll try and get Trix a massage while we're there if she's not any better and see if that helps her. Poor dog :(
